Starting on 1 Jun 2023, we will embark on our first leg. We plan to stay in 5 states - PA, OH, IN, IL, WI and will visit the city of Chicago for the first time for both of us.

Our second leg will take us through parts of the country that we have never seen and we will see Mt Rushmore, the Badlands, and the Little Bighorn battlefield. We are excited to see the Wind Cave National Park and visit Duluth, MN (a recommendation from a MN friend). During this leg we will be staying in another 4 (new) states - ND, SD, WY, and MT.

We start our third leg at Yellowstone National Park and Craters of the Moon National Monument, and then visit some cool cities that we have never been to before ending up at our son, Jacob’s, house/apartment where we intend to mooch off of him for as long as possible.

The Oregon - California leg!! Down the West Coast should be an awesome drive and hopefully not too much traffic, but hey we are on vacation, so we can do it an midnight which will probably be the case if Jake is driving. We will hop over to Vegas and hopefully see some old friends if they are still there.

This leg of the trip ends in our sister’s house in Grand Junction, CO. Of course it starts in Vegas and everyone knows what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas so …

Our southwest adventure starts after hopefully a nice break and down New Mexico and a lot of Texas. I am hoping to see what all my Texas friends love about that great big state!

Transitioning from the Southwest to the Southeast should be easy for these two BAMA people.

A tour around Tennessee and Georgia and then to our brother’s house in Greensboro, GA.

The easiest leg of the trip and ending in our hometown! Nothing like February in Mobile - Mardi Gras is going on so we can finally attend again!! Get out that dress Scharla… mom, and Ellie!

Hop, skip, and a jump from military base to military base to get cheap campgrounds and very nice facilities for us. All the while visiting with our friends from the last 30 years. Cannot wait to see how everyone is doing and where you all finally ended up! We end this leg in one of our favorite neighborhoods and one of two places that our kids called home while growing up…

The last leg of our trip starts in another famous battlefield takes us through parts of NY that we did not get to visit as often as we would have liked, loops us around back to West Point to see Kaylee’s graduation. Hoping to schedule Baskerville’s spare bedroom for the week!! Yes, Kaylee we are coming to your graduation, but we may be hippies by the end of this year journey so you have to deal with that!
